You still have time.....the last weekend of West Austin Studio Tour is the 17th and 18th.    We have Joley Flowers playing keyboard for us on the 17th at 2 pm,   and the Khabele School Student musicians playing on Sunday.

Great Gala at the Austin Zoo on Saturday evening.   My fiberglass wolf, Sheila , sold for $ 2000.   So pleased and thrilled .

Sheila, the lady wolf, is now at the Austin Zoo with the other animals.

She will be on view through May 10th.   The evening of May 10th is the Austin Zoo Fund-Raiser and Gala.   Sheila will be auctioned off to help fund the live animals care here at the animal sanctuary.
Tickets are still available for purchase.

Have spent this whole month working on a life size wolf sculpture for the Austin Zoo Fund Raiser.  Starting with a blank sculpture, sanding, applying binder and now the fun part of creating a colorful wolf.

Still have one side to finish up, about another week, then paint on the UV filter and finish with the hard clear coat protection.

Navajo Lands

Looking forward to returning to the canyon country of northern Arizona and southern Utah.    Have finished two painting so far and getting started on the next one.

The pictographs added to the landscapes are from this area.

Loving this fall weather.   Cleaning out my dead plants from the summer, and planting my bluebonnet seeds for next Spring. 

Took off for three weeks to go to Turkey.   Besides the historic sites we sailed along the southwestern coast of the country from Antalya to Izmur.

have been cooling off in Northern California and Oregon for a few weeks.
Explored the volcanoes of Lassen, Shasta, Medicine Bend, and Crater Lake.
Nice and cool.   It is hard to face this triple - digit heat, but next week is a cool off .   Will get out more if it is only in the 90's.

Should get some photos uploaded soon.    Stay indoors for now.

finished up hanging new artwork for the West Austin Studio Tour (April 27-28, May 4-5).    Now I am weeding and finishing up my gardening-my plants are happy!

during these spring like days getting outside to chop out the dead plants, and starting putting in more wild flowers.    I had a few come back up, but bought more at the nursery to add to them.

Enjoyed the rain but now am dancing out in the sunshine.

Looking forward to this last show of the year--"12BUY12" Show and Sale at Austin Artspace Gallery,  7739 Northcross Suite Q, Austin,TX.  I will have selected artworks on a super sale of 20-50% off of retail during December.
This show opens Dec. 7th.  Artists reception will be Saturday, Dec. 8th. 6 pm to 8 pm.

April ended with my artwork winning the poster competition for the Wimberley ArtFest.   Come see my winning painting at the West Austin Studio Tour #160 on the map in the WEST catalog.   "Colors of the Forest"  was printed on posters and t-shirts for the Wimberley ArtFest.  How exciting !
