scarborough building show

Hanging this show was very exciting. First we get there and discover we are on the basement level but need to hang on the street level. Luckily the management has a manlift for us to use going up and down between the windows opening on the street and where we were. I have included a few photos of the process involved.

12X12

Now getting the finishing touches to the 12 Buy 12 Show which opens on Saturday, Dec. 5th. Artist reception that evening 6-9pm.
After the snow flurries, stop by on Saturday to see 46 guest artists and 9 resident artists all showing their 12X12 creations. Also listen to the Khabele School Jazz Band.

Busy Time of the Year: just finished hanging a show at Scooter's Coffeehouse, at West Parmer Lane and 620/toll45.

Another great weekend at East Side Studios Tours. Lots of folks and good food provided by Nubian Queen Lola with crawfish gumbo and red beans and rice both served with freshly made cornbread. Hmm Good !

Broke down our display and dumped everything in the house. This morning we hung a joint show of paintings and photography at Scooter's Coffeehouse, 9225 West Parmer Lane. Our work will be here for two months.

East Tour-day 1

Wow what a day....this Saturday was the start of the extended two weekend happening, East Austin Studio Tours. After two days of cleaning up the warehouse, bringing in display setups and lighting, we finally were ready to bring out the artwork. Hanging late into Friday evening and then we were ready. Saturday started out a little slow in the morning but that gave us time to visit and have breakfast. By 11 am the crowd had arrived and continued til 5:30 pm. A special treat was having Nubian Queen Lola arrive to offer cajun gumbo and crawfish for lunch. Tito's vodka joined us this weekend for the opening celebration.
Fun, art, music and good conversation all available for our visitors.

East Austin Studio Tour

It is time to get myself organized for this event. I will be at Smith Road on Nov. 14th, 21 and 22nd.
